Your writing and painting about the blue is very beautiful. The image of an ancestral and evolutionary response to a color will stay with me.

What an articulate and compelling tribute to amazing teaching. It reminds me of an article I once read about an instructor who leapt into his college classroom in costume for a French Lit. class. Theater is an essential component of teaching but one has to have "the right stuff" ie. a deep unerring passion for life committed to visual literacy. I loved my teaching life b/c I was always teaching what I was trying to learn.
I am spellbound by the integrity of your work. I love it. A neighbor of mine, Dana Hogan, has the privilege of being in your class. Please advise as to upcoming exhibitions containing your work.

Saw your work at Barbara Krakow Gallery today on a pilgrimage of sorts. I left deeply admiring your deliberate brushwork and deft color-picking, and awed by the unfathomable challlenges of aluminum. Everywhere I turned was the New Zealand that I love, but also the sure hand of an artist "firing on all cylinders". Stayed a while longer to look through your books too, and now have wandered all over here. Great, powerful stuff. Thanks!

I like this rowboat piece. There is a sincerity about Mr. Cooper's work that produces a gem now and then. I guess that's true at all levels.

When in Australia, years ago, I remember feeling very far away, devoid of Americanism.
There were complexities in the art however blunt and unsophisticated. I began to forfeit my measuring stick.

Hi Prof. Glier! I am very excited for you and your trip, and will be keeping up with your posts. I don't think I ever told you about seeing and admiring your work back in freshman year, when they were at up WCMA, but they are beautiful! Hope to see more in the near future!

And the caption is quite comical, haha :P

I think your photography is wonderful, and thought-provoking. I'd very much like to use one of the images of the stick fencing outside Gabarone to illustrate a blog post I am writing, about how people's fear of change can be like a "corral of thorns". Could I have your permission to use one or two of your pictures, with suitable credits and linking back to this site?
